About Us

Mark E. Richards P.E.  has been involved with the HVAC construction design-build industry since 1986 when he began working in his father’s mechanical contracting company, South Bay Mechanical Services. Mark developed significant design experience as a design engineer with TKG Consulting Engineers and eventually earned his first PE during this time. 

During the 2001 Energy crisis, Mark shifted gears to apply his skills to provide alternative energy generation solutions to his customers.  Mark designed and provided construction administration for over 15 cogeneration plants for commercial and industrial facilities that currently generate over 15MW of power.

Today, Emery Mechanical Engineering offers full service professional design and construction administration services.  Our customer base is diverse which is a direct reflection of the experience built up over the course of almost 20 years.
